Thérèse Lawlor : The Moving Gallery

Reading Bus

The Moving Gallery (MG) is a Reading Buses' double-decker transformed into a temporary, travelling, curated art space. The bus is displaying the work of 6 artists including RGA artist Thérèse Lawlor. After its launch in Broad Street on the weekend of 9-10 December it will travel on different routes for the next 6 weeks. Thérèse has produced a childrens' quiz based on five of her paintings of well known Reading Landmarks. Some additional historical information about the images are shown on the site.

Multiple RGA artists : Lilies for Oscar Wilde

Reading

Dozens of local artists and makers including several RGA members have made lilies in tribute to Oscar Wilde and in response to his writings. These lilies are incorporated into an art installation. The installation is now on view at Reading Museum.

Multiple RGA artists : Art Scope Gallery

CircleReading

The Art Scope Gallery displays a permanent collection of art by local artists and is open to the public all year round.
This unique exhibition space is placed at the heart of a beautiful new bespoke hospital in Reading. The stunning architecture of the building provides the ideal space for the display of contemporary art. The project promotes 40 local artists, provides a therapeutic art experience for patients and visitors to CircleReading hospital and creates an ambience of positivity for the staff working there.
All the art is for sale and all commission on sales go to Alexander Devine Children's Hospice Service. There is a café at the gallery and the hospital welcomes visitors wishing to view the art.
