Heather McAteer was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland and is now based in Reading. Her practice explores social and cultural histories, and in particular issues of representation of identity, difference and dislocation. The work is sited in personal experience, particularly in relation to her formative years growing up in Northern Ireland and is a mediation on youth, memory and morality. This exhibition covers her recent work, including a series of drawings made during her Jelly/ACE funded 'At Home' artist residency as well as work made during lockdown. The show is curated by OHOS studio artist Caroline Streatfield as part of the curatorial swap project 'Double Take'.
